Commander inspects
sanitation tasks at townships in Yangon City
YANGON, 14 June - Chairman of Yangon Division Peace
and Development Council Commander of Yangon Command Maj-Gen Myint Swe this
morning viewed sanitation works and dredging of silt at the drains for proper
flow of water being carried out by Tatmadawmen, members of Myanmar Police Force,
workers of Yangon City Development Committee, members of Red Cross Society and
Auxiliary Fire Brigades, Maternal and Child Welfare Association, Working
Committee for Women's Affairs and local people in districts, townships and wards
of Yangon City.

of the association, on the second floor of Sarpay Beikman building on Merchant
Street at noon today.

14 June - Mingalar May Women Entrepreneurs All-round Development Cooperative
Society Patron Nun Daw Molini, who received PhD from Magadha University in
India, and President Daw Thet Yee (Medal for Excellent Performance in Social
Field - Class II) were honoured at a ceremony held at Mingalar Market Dhammayon
on Gyatawya Street in Bahan Township this morning.

14 June - The annual work co-ordination meeting of Development Affairs
Committees was held at the Union Hall in Kyaikkasan Grounds here at 7 am on 11
and 12 June. Minister for Progress of Border Areas and National Races and

Ministerial Conference (PMC) and Third Ministerial Meeting on Mekong-Ganga
Cooperation to be held from 15 to 20 June 2003 in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
