Vietnamese VOV delegation arrives

YANGON, 5 June - Under the cooperation programme between Myanma Radio and Television and the Voice of Vietnam, VOV, a three-member delegation led by Director Mr Vo Minh Quang of the Bureau in Can Tho Province (Radio the Voice of Vietnam-VOV) arrived here by air this evening on a study tour of Myanmar for a week.

Russian language books donated

YANGON, 5 June - Altogether 104 volumes of books for teaching of Russian language for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and 31 volumes of similar books for Yangon University of Foreign Languages of the Ministry of Education were handed over to Director-General U Tint De of the Training.

YANGON, 5 June - Chairman of Myanmar Olympic Committee Minister for Sports Brig-Gen Thura Aye Myint met with a 25-member selected Myanmar youth soccer team led by Deputy Director-General U Thein Aung of Sports and Physical Education Department at Padamya Hall of National Indoor Stadium-1 at 2 pm today.

Stimulant tablets possessors jailed

YANGON, 5 June - Members of Mandalay Special Anti-drug Squad searched the betal shop of Thet Tun Aung at the corner of 72nd Street and Yuzana Street in Myothit Ward-1, Chanmyathazi Township, on 14 September last year and seized 14 stimulant tablets from Thet Tun Aung and Ko Cho (a) Cho Gyi.
