May to attend the 56th World Health Conference and the 112th meeting of
Executive Board of the WHO held in Geneva.

Deputy Minister
arrives back
Yangon, 1 June -
Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs U Khin Maung Win arrived back here by
air this morning after attending the 2nd IISS Asia Security Conference in
Singapore. The deputy minister was welcomed back at Yangon International
Airport by directors-general and officials of the Ministry of Foreign
Affairs. Col Hla Min of the Ministry of Defence also arrived back on the
same flight.

Marijuana seized
in Nyaunglaybin
Yangon, 1 June -A
combined team comprising members of local intelligence unit, Bago Special
Anti-Drug Squad and local Police Force on 10 April searched Ma Sanda Win,
30, daughter of U Tin Maung, of Nyaunglaybin at the entrance to Paukkyaing
Guest House on Bogyoke Street in Nyaunglaybin and seized marijuana weighing
0.816 kilo in her polyethylene bag.
