certificates were presented to Malaysian monk Bkk Yap Kim Tee (Chuan Wu) who
had obtained BA (B) degree and Malaysian nun Wong May Mey who acquired
diploma for 2001-2002 academic year from the International Theravada
Buddhist Missionary University, at a ceremony held at the Myanmar Embassy in
Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia on 21-5-2003 morning.

3 million to Myanmar Maternal and Child Welfare Association at a ceremony
held at the association at the corner of Thanthuma and Parami Streets in

SARS surveillance at Yangon Port
Yangon, 28 May - Members of the Leading Committee for
SARS Control Port Surgeon Dr Maung Maung Oo and Dr Win Myint and
officials today carried out the SARS surveillance tasks on 46
sailors of two cargo ships - MT Ocean Eagle and Kota Mutiara of
Singapore berthing at Yangon Port.

Yangon, 28 May - Ayeyawady
Division team beat Magway Division team 4-0 in second Commerce Minister's
trophy U-21 soccer tournament held at Padonma Football Ground in Sangyoung
Township today. The player of the match award went to Tun Tun Naing of the
former team.
All matches of Group-B concluded. Ayeyawady
Division team stood first with 9 points and Bago Division team second with 6
points in the group.
