Commander visits poster contest to mark International Day of Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking

Yangon, 26 May - The Yangon Division level cartoon, painting and poster competition to mark the International Day of Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking for 2003, organized by Yangon Division Drug Abuse Control Committee, was held at Drug Elimination Museum at the corner of Kyundaw and Hanthawady Streets.

43,950 stimulant pills seized

Yangon, 26 May-A combined team comprising members of local intelligence unit, local battalion, Customs, Lashio Anti-drug Squad and local police force on 3 May stopped and searched a passenger bus with licence plates No 6Ka/7585 en route from Pansang to Tanyang at the checkpoint of Tarcoet Bridge. The authorities seized passenger Kyaung Hla together with 43,950 stimulant tablets bearing WY letters.
