Development Council Chairman Senior General Than Shwe sends messages of
sympathy to Sri Lanka
YANGON, 23 May - Senior General Than Shwe,
Chairman of the State Peace and Development Council and Prime Minister of
the Union of Myanmar, has sent messages of sympathy to Her Excellency Madame
Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga, President of the Democratic Socialist
Republic of Sri Lanka and to His Excellency, Mr Ranil Wickremesinghe, Prime
Minister of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka on the loss of
life and property as a result of recent devastating floods and landslides in
Sri Lanka.

Senior General Than Shwe, Chairman of the State Peace and
Development Council of the Union of Myanmar, has sent a message

of the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria for the heavy
loss of life and property caused by recent devastating
earthquake in the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria.
