General Than Shwe inspects Insein Locomotive Shed of Myanma Railways
Yangon, 20 May - Chairman of the State
Peace and Development Council Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior
General Than Shwe this morning arrived at the Insein Locomotive Shed of the
Myanma Railways of the Ministry of Rail Transportation in Insein Township,
and there the Senior-General inspected functions of the shed after hearing
reports and giving necessary instructions.

Minister for Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement Maj-Gen Sein Htwa
inspected the five fire engines including one donated by Lion Club of Japan
to be used in Meiktila and three assembled to be used in Yezagyo, in

Commander attends Hsinshweli paddy broadcasting ceremony

ceremony to broadcast Hsinshweli paddy for cultivation of 100,000 acres of
the crop in Shan State (North) in 2003 was held at Mansukwin in Humon
Village-tract on 17 May morning. It was attended by Chairman of Shan State
(North) Peace and Development Council Commander of North-East Command Maj-Gen
Myint Hlaing.
