Day of Kason observed at pagodas in Yangon
Yangon, 15 May -Today is Fullmoon Day of Kason (the Day of Buddha)
which is a significant day for Buddhists. At 7 am, the 20th ceremony to pour
water to Maha Bo tree, organized by Shwedagon Pagoda Board of Trustees, was
held at Maha Bo Tree at the south-east corner of the pagoda.

Energy Minister inspects fertilizer factories, oil fields
Yangon, 15 May - Minister for Energy Brig-Gen Lun Thi,
accompanied by officials, arrived at No 1 Fertilizer Factory
(Sale) in Chauk Township, Magway Division, yesterday. Managing
Director U Kyaw Shein of Myanma Petrochemical Enterprise
reported on production of the factory and arrangements for
boosting production. The minister gave necessary instructions.
