Yangon, 5
May — At the invitation of President of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic
His Excellency Mr Khamtay Siphandone and wife Madame Thongvan, Chairman of
the State Peace and Development Council of the Union of Myanmar Senior
General Than Shwe and wife Daw Kyaing Kyaing left here by special flight at
8.30 am today to pay the State Visit to the Lao People’s Democratic
Republic.

Maha Rattha Guru Bhaddanta Sirindabhivamsa was held at the monastery in Mandalay

the sixth Inter- State and Division Soccer Tournament (Under-13)

Narcotics seized in Monkoe and Muse
Yangon, 5 May - A
combined team comprising members of local Tatmadawmen, local
intelligence unit and Myanmar Police Force, acting on
information, searched the house of Daw Markaw (a) Nanja,
daughter of U Daize, of No 82, Ward-4 in Monkoe, Shan State
(North), on 20 April and arrested her together with 162 blocks
of heroin weighing 2.43 kilos.
