April — Myanma Industrial Exhibition 2003 concluded today on
Hsinphyukan grounds in Mandalay. It was held for 22 days
beginning from 19th March.

National Museum to be closed during Thingyan Festival
Yangon, 9 April — The
Department of Cultural Institute of the Ministry of Culture will
temporarily shut the National Museum on Pyay Road during
Thingyan Festival (Water Festival) starting from 13 April, the
eve of Thingyan, to 17 April, the New Year Day, and will open it
by 18 April from 10 am to 4 pm as usual.
