Commander inspects regional development tasks in Shwebo District
Yangon, 6 April -
Chairman of Sagaing Division Peace and Development Council Commander of
North-West Command Maj-Gen Soe Naing, on 3 April, inspected digging of YeU
Myaungmadaw drain and new drains in Dabayin Township and tarring of road
linking YeU and KhinU and gave necessary instructions to the officials. Then, the commander arrived
at Shwebo Township.

traffickers sentenced
Yangon, 6 April - A
combined team comprising members of local intelligence unit and
Kalay Anti drug squad, acting on a tip-off, on 12 September 2002
searched the house of Balar Lonpar, 20, son of U Kwa Hlan, and
his wife Ma Mar Lah Hti Ya, 23, daughter of U Teyalima, of Tahan
Region-8, Kalay Township, and seized 12.54 grams of heroin.
