Senior General Than Shwe sends felicitations to President of
Helenic Republic
Yangon, 25 March — Senior
General Than Shwe, Chairman of the State Peace and Development
Council and Prime Minister of the Union of Myanmar, has sent a
message of felicitations to His Excellency Mr Constantinos
Stephanopoulos, President of the Hellenic Republic, on the
occasion of the Independence Day of the Hellenic Republic which
falls on 25th March 2003.

Vice-Senior General Maung Aye inspected the full-dress rehearsal
of the parade drill practised by parade columns which will take
part in the 58th Anniversary Armed Forces Day Parade, at the
Resistance Park today.

March — Senior General Than Shwe, Chairman of the State Peace
and Development Council and Prime Minister of the Union of
Myanmar, has sent a message of felicitations to His Excellency
Mr Constantinos Simitis, Prime Minister of the Hellenic
Republic, on the occasion of the Independence Day of the
Hellenic Republic which falls on 25th March 2003.
Appointment of Ambassador agreed on
Yangon, 25 March — The
Government of the Union of Myanmar has agreed to the appointment
of His Excellency Dr Herbert Traxl as Ambassador Extraordinary
and Plenipotentiary of Austria to the Union of Myanmar in
succession to His Excellency Dr Georg Znidaric.

the Union of Myanmar, Secretary-1 of the State Peace and
Development Council General Khin Nyunt received Ambassador of
Cambodia to Myanmar Mr Nim Chantara who has completed his tour
of duty at Zeyathiri Beikman on Konmyinttha at 5 pm today.
