Princess Sirindhorn to visit Myanmar

Yangon, 7 March — At the invitation of the Chairman of the State Peace and Development Council of the Union of Myanmar Senior General Than Shwe, Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn of the Kingdom of Thailand will pay a royal visit to the Union of Myanmar in the near future.

Commander inspects agriculture tasks

Yangon, 6 March —  Chairman of Shan State Peace and Development Council Commander of Eastern Command Maj-Gen Khin Maung Myint, inspected the soil preparation works for cultivation of 50 acres of summer paddy  and  cultivation of winter crops including garlic and potato  in Zeya Ayechan Farm in Heho, Kalaw Township, on 3 March afternoon.

Yangon, 6 March — For supplying clean water for Beinnwegon Village, Taungtha Township, a two-inch tube-well  sunk by township Development Affairs Committee was opened on 4 March morning.
