Secretary-1 honours artistes of TV-plays on nation-building endeavours

Yangon, 18 Feb —  Secretary-1 of the State Peace and Development Council General Khin Nyunt honoured artistes who participated in TV-plays on nation-building endeavours at a ceremony held at the Mya Yeik Nyo Royal Hotel in Bahan Township at 7.30 pm today. First, the Secretary-1 cordially greeted the artistes.

Secretary-1 attends opening of eight-storey building of Jivitadana Sangha Hospital in Bahan  

Yangon, 18 Feb — A ceremony to open the newly-built eight-storey Waizayanda building of the Jivitadana Sangha Hospital in Bahan Township was held  at the building this morning, attended by Secretary-1 of the State Peace and Development Council General Khin Nyunt.

Cornerstone laid for construction of Maha Siddhijaya Pagoda  

Yangon, 18 Feb — A ceremony to lay cornerstones for construction of Maha Siddhijaya Pagoda on Sandawady Hill in Myeik, Taninthayi Division, was held on the hill on 16 February morning, attended by Member of the State Peace and Development Council Lt-Gen Maung Bo of the Ministry of Defence.

Adjutant-General receives Vietnamese delegation  

Yangon, 18 Feb — Member of the State Peace and Development Council Adjutant-General Lt-Gen Thein Sein received Vietnamese delegation led by Deputy Chief Justice of Supreme Court and Chief Justice of Central Military Court of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Mr Le Due Tu  at the hall of Zeyathiri Beikman on Konmyinttha here at noon today.

Self-reliant tarred roads in Hline township opened

Yangon, 18 Feb — An opening ceremony of self-reliant tarred roads in Ward-16, Hline township, Yangon West District, was held in conjunction with the ceremony to present prizes to the model ward in performing sanitation tasks in the township at the pandal on U Chit Maung Street this morning.
