Vice-Senior General Maung Aye and wife Daw Mya Mya San see off Thai General Somdhat Attanand and Madame

Yangon, 1 Feb — Commander-in-Chief of Royal Thai Army General Somdhat Attanand and Madame Khunying Suppanapa Attanand and party this morning left here for home by special aircraft of Royal Thai Air Force after paying a goodwill visit to Myanmar at the invitation of Vice-Chairman of the State Peace and Development Council of the Union of Myanmar Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Commander-in-Chief (Army) Vice-Senior General Maung Aye.

Secretary-1 accepts cash donations for building Thabbyinnyu Stupa, inspects preparations for conveyance of Maha Atula Pattanila Bowl 

Yangon, 1 Feb—The 22nd cash presentation ceremony for construction of Thabbyinnyu Stupa was held at the stupa in Mayan-gon Township here this afternoon. Secretary-1 of the State Peace and Development Council General Khin Nyunt attended the ceremony and accepted the cash donations.Secretary of the Work Committee for Construction of the Stupa Deputy Minister for Agriculture and Irrigation Brig-Gen Khin Maung reported on progress in construction of the stupa.
