General Staff Officer (Grade-I) Lt-Col San Pwint of Directorate of Defence Service Intelligence explained creation of the anti-government organizations and persons within and without the country. He said:

Alien radio stations were trying to play up the four- nine movement of the anti-government groups. It was known that UGs were sent into the nation; contacts were made directly or indirectly with some of the NLD members. It is too dangerous for the nation if the public unrest erupts in accord with the wishes and perpetrations of the anti-government groups. It is obvious that the anti-government groups including NLD were trying to grab power however dangerous it is for the nation and the people.

The already achieved peace and stability is maintained as their perpetrations are exposed in time; and the people do not wish unrest. Thus, their four- nine movement could not threaten the people and no public unrest came out. The people never accept such perpetrations with ill will. The government after exposing these perpetrators will take effective action.

Officials replied to questions raised by journalists. Journalists then viewed seized documents concerning the four nines.
