Kawthoung District is geographically outstanding, and although it is not a densely populated region, it is an important district in the political, economic and security point of view; service personnel who are discharging their assigned duties there, entrepreneurs and local people need to follow rules and regulations and laws; Myanmar Naing Ngan has a population of 48 million, and out of the countries in the Southeast Asia region, it is a country which has the population and area in good proportion; it has many port cities, and talks up a geographically and politically strategic position; it is also endowed with natural resources, so colonialists covet the country; therefore, they are resorting to various means to be able to dominate the country.
National traitors and greedy entrepreneurs, in collaboration with a group of unscrupulous persons, are poaching fish and prawns in our territorial waters and smuggling other natural resources and forest products out of the country, thereby getting rich; it can be found that though Myanmar is rich in natural resources and it has been fifty years after independence was regain, but significant development could not be achieved.
Therefore, all the citizenry need to safeguard aboveground and underground natural resources and above-water and underwater marine resources, so everybody needs to strive for the development of the country with patriotic spirit.
The education promotion programme laid down and being implemented by the Government included arrangements to uplift dynamism of patriotic spirit and to preserve and promote traditional culture; only when the youths are outstanding in education and imbued with love for the nation and patriotism, can our nation keep abreast with other nations.
Duties have already been assigned to officials concerned to strive for self-sufficiency rice as Taninthayi Division is endowed with marine resources, underground resources and human resources like other countries of the world which are striving to achieve the objective of food security, ways and means are to be sought to be self-sufficient in rice in Taninthayi Division.
