Myanmar rejects US State Department's accusation
Yangon, 26 Dec
- The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Union of Myanmar on 26 December issued a press release on a rejection against the accusation of the Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights and Labour of the State Department of the United States, which is attempting to raise the issue of so-called human rights violations in Myanmar once again.

Heroin seized in Hsipaw
Yangon, 26 Dec - A combined team comprising members of the local intelligence unit and Lashio Special Anti-drug Squad, acting on information, on 21 December 2002, searched a farm trolley with number plates La/2876 and seized 41 grams of heroin in three soap boxes and K 100,000 from Kyaw Naing.
