addressed by Chairman of Myanmar Education Committee Secretary-1 of the State Peace and Development Council Lt-Gen Khin Nyunt. First, Chairman of Myanmar Education Committee Secretary-1 of the State
Peace and Development Council Lt-Gen Khin Nyunt delivered an address. He said, in view of the current international situation, information technology is making progress rapidly, and so is the whole world. It can
be seen that they are plotting to make the gap between developed nations and developing nations, wider and wider, exploiting the economic. situation to their advantage.

Today, Myanmar has been participating in the activities of Non-Aligned Movement and playing an active part in the regional organizations. The Union of Myanmar is also taking part in the Association of Southeast
Asian Nations and BEMST-EC, an economic cooperation association formed with nations of Southeast Asia and South Asia Myanmar is also having an active part in the activities of international and regional
organizations, and making efforts to further strengthen the friendly ties of relations between two nations or among many nations. Now, Myanmar has established Diplomatic relations with 85 nations and opened 30
embassies and 2 consulates. In Myanmar, embassies of 27 nations, offices of five UN agencies and two consulates have been opened. The reason why the Union of Myanmar is actively cooperating with member
of the world family is to enable Myanmar to keep pace with international development, remove domination of some big nations and to ensure the emergence of a peaceful, modern and developed nation. Not to remain
isolated on the track of international development, Myanmar has begun to cooperate with nations of the world family in accord with the wishes of Myanmar people. International relations such as exchanges of visits among heads of state, establishment of more diplomatic relations and cooperation on the mutually beneficial basis are very common.

At a time when, in accord with the wishes of the people, the government is extending relations with international community, some neo-colonialist nations who want to put Myanmar under their domination and their lackey destructive group are attempting to discredit Myanmar, imposing economics actions on Myanmar and abusing international organizations with the use of false and fabricated information.
